A Magazine system for the venerable Winchester Model 70!!!
CNC machined from 7075 aluminum, our Winchester Model 70 detachable bottom metal (DBM) utilizes the AICS/Accurate/MDT mag platform that has been the gold standard for reliability for years.
All edges have been radiused for a smooth feel to protect the users hands. The trigger guard has been enlarged for use with gloves and the mag release ambidextrous.
We have kept tolerances tight in the magwell in order to fit the metal AICS/Accurate platform mags very snug and eliminate the rattle you find in some DBM kits that utilize these mags.
If you are using polymer AICS style mags you may need to sand the mag slightly in order to fit in the magwell.
While this bottom metal is designed to be a drop in replacement, due to the different stocks and tolerances, some minor modification or fitting may be required.
Utilizes the factory action screws.
We strongly recommend reading the Winchester Model 70 Wikipedia article, understanding the plethora of different Model 70’s all covered under the same name. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winchester_Model_70

I finally was able to have this DBM inletted onto an HS Precision PST 053, for a 7mm WSM and it came out very nice. The quality of the bottom metal is top notch and nicely built. I paired it with the accurate mag WSM magazine and it runs smooth. Thank you Alberta Tactical for supporting the Model 70.

Received my Winchester model 70 DBM today and it’s a top tier piece of hardware. The bottom metal dropped right into my Bell & Carlson stock without any inletting which was sweet. I did need to make 2 shims (16ga. .0598 thick) and shim under the fore and aft of the bottom metal, no big deal. I purchased a different mfg. DBM for my Rem 700 and had to do the same thing.
I paired the Alberta Tactical DBM with a MDT AICS metal magazine for my 22-250, and she feeds and cycles without issue.
They also took time to answer my questions over the phone and also walk me thru with shipping to USA, no big deal. Keep up the good work guys and gals!
