After many years of serving Canada’s firearms community, Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply will be closing its doors effective May 5, 2026.

This is not the ending we envisioned, nor one we reached lightly.

Like many businesses in our industry, we have spent the last several years operating under increasing uncertainty, mounting regulatory pressure, and a political environment that has made it progressively more difficult for lawful firearms businesses to survive. Government policy and ineffective firearms prohibitions have taken a very real toll — not on crime, but on Canadian companies, workers, and responsible firearms owners who have done everything asked of them.

Despite these challenges, we are proud of what Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply stood for.

We were never content to simply move boxes across a counter. We worked to push innovation, support Canadian shooters, advance technical knowledge, and help drive meaningful progress within the precision rifle and sporting firearms world. Whether through new product development, specialized builds, problem solving, or simply sharing knowledge with our customers, we believed this industry deserved businesses willing to build, improve, and contribute.

That work only mattered because of the people behind it.

To every customer who trusted us with their business, every shooter who shared in our enthusiasm, every industry partner who collaborated with us, and every supporter who believed in what we were trying to build — thank you. Your loyalty allowed us to do work we were genuinely proud of, and for that we will always be grateful.

While this chapter closes under difficult circumstances, we remain hopeful that the Canadian firearms community will continue to endure, adapt, and push forward. This industry has always been built by resilient people who refuse to let poor policy extinguish legitimate passion, craftsmanship, and innovation.
